Questions

What are meta tags?
Meta tags are HTML snippets in the <head> that describe a page to search engines and social networks. The title and description often appear in search results; Open Graph and Twitter Card tags control how shared links look.
How long should my title and description be?
Aim for about 50–60 characters for the title and 120–160 for the description. Google truncates by pixel width, so these are guidelines, not hard limits.
What image size works best for social sharing?
Use a 1200×630 px image (1.91:1) with an absolute https URL for Open Graph and summary_large_image cards.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The tags are generated in your browser and inputs are only stored in your browser’s local storage.
Do meta keywords still matter?
Google ignores the keywords tag for ranking. It is optional and harmless.
