JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF, several at once

Free · Private · Runs in your browser

Why use it

  • Batch compression

Drop up to 50 JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF images and see each one's savings.

  • Smart format pick

Auto compares WebP, PNG and JPEG, preserves transparency, and keeps the original if nothing is smaller.

  • Never uploaded

Compression runs on a canvas in your browser — files stay on your device.

Great for

  • Speeding up websites and improving Core Web Vitals
  • Shrinking photos before emailing or uploading them
  • Preparing product images for an online store

How it works

  1. Choose images, or drop them anywhere on the page. They compress straight away.
  2. Adjust Format, Quality and Max size. Every image re-compresses live.
  3. Compare original and compressed, then Download one file or all of them as a zip.

Auto compares WebP, PNG and JPEG, skipping JPEG when the image has transparency. Every format keeps the original file if the result would be the same size or larger, including after resizing. Its format and dimensions then stay unchanged. Everything runs on a canvas in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.

Questions

Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Compression happens on a canvas in your browser — the files never leave your device.
What compression is applied?
By default, the tool tries resizing to at most 1920 px on the longest edge and encoding JPEG or WebP at 80% quality. Auto compares WebP, PNG and JPEG, skipping JPEG for transparent images. In every mode, the result is used only if it is smaller than the original; otherwise the original file, format and dimensions are kept. PNG encoding is lossless and ignores the quality slider.
Can I compress several images at once?
Yes. Add up to 50 images; each one shows its own savings, and Download all gives you a single zip.
What happens to transparency and animated GIFs?
Transparency is kept with WebP and PNG. JPEG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white. Converted GIFs keep only their first frame; keeping the original preserves animation.
Why did my file barely shrink?
The chosen settings may not save space, especially for images that are already optimized or when converting a photo to PNG. Every mode keeps the original if encoding or resizing would produce an equal or larger file. Try Auto, a lower JPEG/WebP quality, or a smaller maximum size.
