MP4 (H.264), WebM or MOV — played locally, nothing is uploaded

MP4 files with H.264 video and AAC audio play in every modern browser; WebM and QuickTime MOV follow the same story. The file is read through a local URL, so playback works even offline and nothing is uploaded.

Free · Private · Runs in your browser

Why use it

  • Speed from 0.25× to 2×

Slow a recording down to study it, or double the pace to get through it faster.

  • Loop and ±10-second jumps

Repeat endlessly and hop back over the tricky part without dragging the slider.

  • Private by design

The video is opened from your device and played in your browser — it is never uploaded.

Great for

  • Reviewing a screen recording or exported render before sharing it
  • Studying a tutorial at half speed with quick rewinds
  • Playing a local clip without installing media software

How to use

  1. Choose a video, or drop one anywhere on the page.
  2. Press the play button and scrub with the position slider; the ±10 s buttons step over the exact moment you need.
  3. Adjust playback speed, volume and looping, or open picture-in-picture and full screen.
  4. Select Choose another video to load a different file.

MP4 files with H.264 video and AAC audio play everywhere; WebM and QuickTime MOV follow the same story. Playback streams straight from your disk, so large files open instantly and even work offline.

Questions

Are my videos uploaded?
No. The file is opened from your device through a local object URL and played back in your browser. There is no upload, no server processing and no storage.
Which file types work?
MP4 files with H.264 video and AAC audio play in every modern browser, and WebM works broadly too. QuickTime .mov files usually open when they store H.264 video — in practice the tool plays anything your browser can decode.
Why won't my file play, or plays without sound?
Codecs are the usual culprit. H.265/HEVC video, or AC-3/DTS audio, is unsupported by many browsers, so the picture or the sound may be missing. DRM-protected downloads cannot be played here. Re-encoding to H.264 MP4 gives universal support.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. Playback streams from your local disk, so large files open as long as your browser and device can handle them; very large 4K files may stutter on modest hardware.
Does it support subtitles or playlists?
No. It is a single-file player focused on quick previews: speed, loop, ±10 s jumps, picture-in-picture and full screen.
