How it works
- Click Start Stream to select your entire screen, an application window, or a browser tab.
- Share the generated Stream Link or QR Code with your viewer(s).
- When a viewer opens the link, a peer-to-peer WebRTC connection is negotiated automatically. Encrypted video and audio stream directly between your devices; a relay is used only when a network blocks direct connections.
- Use Picture-in-Picture to monitor your stream, capture high-resolution snapshots, or click Record to save a copy directly to your device.
No signups and no software to install. Koaris never receives or stores your stream: the public PeerJS signaling server only sees the room code and IP addresses it needs to introduce the browsers. Anyone with your link can watch, so share it only with people you trust.

Questions
How does peer-to-peer screen streaming work?
Your browser connects to the viewer's browser using WebRTC (RTCPeerConnection). A lightweight signaling server (the public PeerJS cloud) only introduces the two browsers by room code; after that, encrypted video and audio flow directly between devices. On restrictive networks the encrypted stream may be relayed through a TURN server, which forwards packets without storing them.
Can I start the stream and wait for someone to enter the link?
Yes. When you start streaming, your browser opens a live room with a shareable link. When someone opens the link, your browser detects them and establishes a direct peer connection automatically.
How many viewers can watch simultaneously?
In peer-to-peer streaming, your device uploads a direct video feed to each viewer. It works smoothly for 1 to 5 simultaneous viewers on standard broadband connections. For larger audiences, home upload bandwidth can become a limiting factor.
Can viewers watch from mobile devices?
Yes. While mobile browsers cannot broadcast their screen due to mobile OS security sandboxing, mobile viewers can open the stream link on iOS Safari or Android Chrome and watch your broadcast in real time.
Can I include system audio and microphone?
Yes. When selecting your screen or tab, check the browser audio sharing toggle. You can also toggle microphone capture to narrate or explain your presentation live.
Can I control who watches my stream?
Yes. Room codes are long and randomly generated, and you can turn on Approve Each Viewer before starting: anyone who opens your link then waits until you click Allow. You can remove a viewer at any time from the viewer list.
Is any video or audio data saved on Koaris servers?
No. Koaris never receives your stream, and recordings are assembled in your browser's memory and downloaded straight to your computer. To connect browsers, the room code and your IP address pass through the third-party PeerJS signaling server and a STUN server. As with any WebRTC call, the host and viewers can also see each other's IP addresses.
